Specialized Turbo Pro 700x25 Tires 02/06/2012
As the Specialized White Paper on the Turbo 25c tires emphasizes, smoothness is the significant aspect most noticeable and enjoyable - especially on chip-seal pavement surface, even over numerous miles non-stop. At 100 psi, the tires felt as if they were at a lower pressure. The apparent rolling ease and absorption of harder bumps with an easy firmness indicated that was a very good pressure. High-speed descents are surprisingly smooth and previous top-speeds are easily attained. Climbing seemed a bit less crisp than what I've been used to with racing 23's but that could well be the cushy efficiency. Braking benefits from the added contact patch area and is firm, controllable. Overall, aside from the extra-tight fit in my Crud Road Racer 2 fenders these are very good tires for those seeking high-efficiency rolling tires with noticeable comfort. Steve Hanners, B.I. We've been carrying these bikes since they finally became available a few months ago, and continue to be very excited about their design's suitability for many of our riders' needs. The magazine review heralds disc brakes on road bikes as the future direction of the industry, and Volagi as a leader in this respect. Check out the review here. |
