We got a deal on some of the new Look Keo 2 Max Carbon pedals.  They are normally $220, and we have them on sale for $180.  Get them while they last!

We just received our demo fleet from Volagi, which we will have for Chilly Hilly!  Five bikes in all sizes are available for test rides.  If you haven't ridden one yet, now is your chance.  Disc brake, carbon fiber road bikes!
We also got hold of one of Volagi's prototype hydraulic disc brake bikes, with the TRP brakes, Shimano Di2, and carbon rims.  Here are some teaser photos - come by and take a look!

New XTR 02/20/2012

We did promise you some photos of nicer parts - here is a customer's ti Salsa Fargo that was getting some new XTR components, complete with the new Dynasys Plus rear derailleur.  This nifty little item eliminates chain slap, and makes the drivetrain nice and quiet...
This rear derailleur is one of our new favorites.  Let's hope Shimano trickles this technology down through the whole line!

Susan from Volagi Cycles will be here at the shop for the entire weekend of Chilly Hilly (February 24th-26th) with a fleet of bikes to test ride!  She'll be bringing every size of the Volagi Liscio with her, so everyone will have the opportunity to try one out!  If you are interested, call or come on by to reserve some time on one of the bikes.

Have a singlespeed or fixed gear bike and need just a little bit wider gear range?  Sturmey Archer has a cool 2-speed hub that gives you one more gear option without needing a shifter, cables, or any clutter.  The bike still looks like a single speed, but by backpedaling it switches between its two gears.  The range provided is 138%.  Very cool!

These photos show the freehweel version of the hub installed on a former singlespeed.

Strider ST-3 12/17/2011

The brand-new and high-tech Strider ST-3 is here!  These balance bikes have been extremely popular over the years, and the new model looks even better.  Lighter weight, especially the wheels, and with quick-release levers on both the bar and the seatpost.  Smaller diameter grips and new padding on the handlebar.  Just in time for Christmas!

Bicycling Magazine just put out their review on the Volagi Ultegra Liscio.  We've been carrying these bikes since they finally became available a few months ago, and continue to be very excited about their design's suitability for many of our riders' needs.  The magazine review heralds disc brakes on road bikes as the future direction of the industry, and Volagi as a leader in this respect.  Check out the review here

We just built up our first Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp 29 Carbon!  This is the new carbon version of the most popular full-suspension mountain bike model we sold over the last year, and it looks excellent.  The amount of technology that goes into these new all-mountain bikes is very impressive: tapered steerer tube on the fork, through-axles front and rear, auto-sag adjustment on the rear shock, built-in chain tensioner, 2x10 drivetrain, etc.  The carbon front triangle lightens up the bike compared to the aluminum version, and smooths out the ride as well.  For $3700 (plus tax, of course), it could be yours!

Ultegra Di2! 11/04/2011

We have received our first bike with the new electronic Shimano Ultegra Di2 components.  We have been waiting to see these in person for quite a while, since they bring electronic shifting down to a more accessible price range!  Our first impressions are that the execution and feel is right up there with the original Dura Ace Di2!  The bike is a Giant Defy Advanced 0 in a M/L size, and should be ready for test rides later today.
